AHCA Recognizes FHCA Members with Gold Seal Designation

Healthcare Professionals Recognized with Annual Awards

Tallahassee, Florida, August 16, 2016 – The Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) recently recognized 11 Florida nursing centers for earning the Governor's Gold Seal Award for Excellence in Long-Term Care. Although 11 nursing centers were recognized this cycle by the AHCA, 5 of the centers are newly-awarded. PruittHealth – Santa Rosa in Milton, Florida is one of the 5 centers earning this impressive designation for the first time.

Nursing centers that wish to be considered for the Governor's Gold Seal Award must submit an application to AHCA, which is reviewed by the Governor's Panel on Excellence in Long Term Care. Before making recommendations to the Governor, the Panel considers criteria including star ratings, survey outcomes, customer satisfaction, workforce stability, family interactions and financial soundness. Additionally, Gold Seal recipients must be in operation a minimum of 30 months prior to the date of application.

"We are so proud of PruittHealth – Santa Rosa for being awarded the distinguished Governor's Gold Seal Award for Excellence in Long-Term Care," said Chairman & CEO Neil L. Pruitt, Jr. "For nearly 50 years, PruittHealth has been committed to caring, while providing high-quality care to the Southeast. We are excited to continue serving Florida, as we further expand the PruittHealth family of providers into more of its communities."

"It's rewarding to see these providers recognized for their commitment to quality care," said Emmett Reed, executive director of FHCA. "I am proud of our members for earning this distinguished recognition award, and I know they will continue to serve as role models to all our member centers as they work to deliver exceptional care and services to Florida's elderly."

Congratulations to PruittHealth – Santa Rosa for this achievement and their unrelenting dedication to providing excellent long term care.
