What Are The Symptoms Of Heart Failure?

If you have right side heart failure, the symptoms you will experience are:

  • Shortness of breath
  • Swelling of feet and ankles
  • Urinating more frequently during nighttime
  • Pronounced neck veins
  • Palpitations-the sensation of "feeling" the heartbeat
  • Irregular and rapid heartbeat
  • Fatigue and lethargy, weakness, fainting

If you have left side heart failure, the symptoms you will experience are:

  • Shortness of breath
  • Difficulty with breathing when lying down
  • Palpitations-the sensation of "feeling" the heartbeat
  • Irregular or rapid pulse
  • Cough
  • Fatigue and weakness
  • Weight gain
  • Decreased urine output
